Bye Bye Boller

After six years on the Ravens, Kyle Boller is packing his bags for St. Louis. Boller was signed by the Rams today, after spending all of last year on the Baltimore sideline with an injury. In his career with the Ravens, Boller passed for 7,846 yards (a Ravens franchise record), 45 touchdowns, and 44 interceptions; a 71.9 overall quarterback rating.

I wish Boller the best in St. Louis. He did what he could in Baltimore, and it was not an easy job for him to hold for most of his career, with no weapons at wide reciever, and starting in the NFL right out of college. Although his career as a Raven will always be scarred by his inconsistency, I respect him for the work he did, and I hope that he does well as a Ram backing up Mark Bulger. If Bulger continues his downward spiral that he has been on the past few season, we may even be seeing Mr. Boller starting in the near future. The Ravens are set at backup quarterback as well, with former Heisman trophy winner Troy Smith still on the team and recently re-signed veteran Todd Bouman in the #3 spot on the depth chart.
